美人画の名手として名高い喜多川歌麿の代表作「五人美人愛敬競」を、本シリーズの原画すべてを世界で唯一所蔵している太田記念美術館監修のもと、現代の職人たちの技巧によって復刻しました。彫師、摺師の高い技術が結集した毛割（けわり）の見事さや、楽しい判じ絵、当時の流行を率いた艶やかな女性像をお楽しみください。
